CSM Engine (Commerce State Machine) is the transactional backbone for the AI builder era — an enterprise e-commerce backend that AI agents wire autonomously through 317+ production Model Context Protocol tools.
The Thesis
Generative UI tools (Lovable, v0, Bolt, Cursor) collapsed the cost of building a storefront interface to nearly zero. But a storefront without a transactional backend cannot take a single order: payments, taxes, inventory atomicity, returns, fraud resistance, and customer service remain months of specialized engineering.
That separation — generative front-end, mission-critical back-end — was inevitable. What was missing was a standard interface the two could speak. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is that standard. CSM Engine bets that MCP becomes the universal contract between AI agents and commerce infrastructure, and we are building the deepest, most battle-tested commerce tool catalog on that protocol: 317+ production tools spanning payments, inventory, returns, flash sales, SEO, and conversational CRM.
The result: a prompt becomes a transacting store in minutes, with 0% platform take-rate and full data sovereignty — the "Stripe + AWS" layer for AI storefronts.
The Origin
CSM Engine is developed by Epsol Development, led by founder Khizar Jamshaid Iqbal, as the commerce sibling to Custom Blog Management (CBM). After years of operating production WordPress commerce infrastructure — processing live orders, verifying Stripe webhooks, and serving high-frequency traffic across edge networks — the team extracted that battle-tested machinery into an agent-native commerce operating system.
The engine is live in production today (v1.76.9) driving real storefronts with sub-50ms latency. Reference deployments and a live demo endpoint are available to qualified parties under NDA.
